Ben Fraser
Ben Fraser was formerly a community and engagement consultant at GHD and now works with Transgrid. Currently, he’s working on the Victoria to NSW Interconnector West project, a proposed new 500 kV double circuit transmission line connecting the high voltage electricity grids in NSW and Victoria.
One of his biggest career highlights at GHD was working on the regional drought resilience plan for the New England High Country region. Having never personally experienced drought, he knew it was his responsibility to develop meaningful initiatives that would deliver real benefit into the future.
The most memorable part of Ben’s time at GHD was undoubtedly the people, having had the opportunity to work alongside supportive colleagues who encouraged growth, collaboration and a positive work environment. He encourages others not to be afraid to take on challenges that push you outside of your comfort zone, and to approach everything with a positive attitude, even during the tough times."
