GHD announces new leaders to drive bold growth in Environment and Energy
Global professional services company GHD has announced two senior leadership appointments, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth and innovation across the Environment and Energy sectors.
Sally Wilson has been appointed as Australian Market Leader, Environment. With more than 20 years of experience across both the private and public sectors, Sally brings deep expertise in environmental impact assessment, natural resource management and government environmental approvals at Commonwealth, state, and local levels.
"The continued growth in energy projects across Australia means there is a pressing need for sensible and responsive environmental approval services, which work to balance Australia’s growing energy demands and energy transition aspirations, whilst minimising impacts to our natural environment,” says Sally Wilson. “We have significant opportunities ahead and I’m excited to lead our Australian team and grow our business by enhancing client experience, strengthening cross-market and global collaboration, and expanding our technical teams.”
Sheldon Krahe has been appointed APAC Energy Leader, a newly created role that reflects GHD’s strategic focus on energy growth across the region. Sheldon brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across Australia, Asia, and Europe, with a strong track record in program delivery, market development and regional management. Sheldon is also an Executive Director on GHD's Global Board.
He previously served as Regional General Manager for Western Australia and has played a pivotal role in shaping GHD’s global future energy growth strategy, making this appointment a natural next step.
Reflecting on his new role, Sheldon says, “GHD is continuing to grow our teams across Asia Pacific in areas such as transmission and distribution, wind, battery energy storage, hydropower, and energy systems integration. As the energy transition accelerates, we have a tremendous opportunity to deliver innovative solutions and create a lasting impact for our clients and communities. Through collaboration, adaptability and forward-thinking, I look forward to working alongside our teams to shape a sustainable future and strengthen GHD’s leadership in this critical sector."
These appointments are part of GHD’s broader strategy to strengthen market leadership and deliver innovative solutions that support our clients and communities. As the energy transition accelerates and environmental challenges grow, Sally and Sheldon will lead efforts to unlock new possibilities and drive impact across Australia and the APAC region.
