GHD sponsors Ruby Bridges lecture at Berry College on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
GHD is proud to collaborate with Berry College to support initiatives that broaden awareness of diversity issues and expand career development opportunities through internships and employment programs. A highlight of this partnership is a lecture by civil rights icon Ruby Bridges to be presented on January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. day.
Bridges made history in 1960 as one of the first Black students to integrate an all-white elementary school, becoming a symbol of the civil rights movement. Her lecture, hosted at the Berry College Chapel, will share insights on resilience, inclusion and the power of education.
Today, Ruby Bridges is a celebrated activist, author and speaker. She founded the Ruby Bridges Foundation to promote leadership and diversity, and in 2024, she was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame for her lifelong impact on civil rights.
GHD’s sponsorship of this event reflects our commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. By supporting Ruby Bridges’ message, we aim to inspire dialogue, drive learning and advance our mission of creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive.
