Supporting a biomass network for Singapore

GHD was engaged to support preparations for a biomass cogeneration plant and steam network in Singapore.
The challenge
We were engaged at the early stages of the project requiring identification of risks and gaps, strategic technical guidance, and input to the project development strategy.
Our response
We provided technical expertise on the identification of gaps and risks in the project preparation and development and recommendations of appropriate mitigation measures to be considered for the implementation of the project. We also supported the client in the subsequent project phase, completing the concept study and basis of design to enable the project to be released for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) tender. We also provided advice on the procurement strategy and contractor split, including interface points, to be adopted in the next phase of the project.
The impact
GHD’s guidance and support helped provide the client with the necessary foundation for the project to progress to further detailed development stages.
