United Utilities announces 13 more partners for record investment proposals

United Utilities has announced the appointment of GHD as one of its six specialist design development partners to support an unprecedented investment programme in the North West’s water and wastewater infrastructure. GHD will collaborate on developing practical, forward-thinking solutions, particularly for rainwater-management projects, as the region prepares for its largest infrastructure upgrade in a century. 

United Utilities’ Capital Delivery Director, Jane Simpson, highlighted the role of these partners in creating future-proof, nature-based designs to improve supply resilience and meet evolving environmental needs. GHD’s inclusion underscores its ability to deliver innovative, effective designs aligning with long-term sustainability goals and operational excellence.
