Delivering the next phase of York Region's Highway 7 expansion

In a joint venture with CIMA+, GHD is providing preliminary design work for the next phase of York Region's Bus Rapid Transit expansion along Highway 7 in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

The approximately eight-kilometre expansion will better support the future housing and employment areas in Markham. It is expected to serve more than 10,100 daily passenger trips by 2035 – a 50% increase from the current 6,700 daily passenger trips on the Highway 7 East corridor.
