Our time to act is now; Canada has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. But how can we realise this vision? We invite you to join our expert panellists in a discussion of the opportunities for Canada to accelerate its energy transition.
According to a consumer survey by GHD, only 40% of Canadians believe businesses and society are doing enough to meet net zero goals by 2050, and less than half of us believe the government will be able to meet its climate change responsibilities. If we are to make a successful shift to net zero, it is crucial the public and private sectors work together with the community.
GHD, along with Bennett Jones, is hosting a virtual roundtable with industry and community leaders to discuss where we should be focusing Canada’s efforts and investment dollars, to achieve net zero by 2050.
The session's themes will include:
- Energy diversification & efficiency
- Transportation (de-urbanization, electrification)
- Hydrogen / Renewables
