One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, is demonstrating its focus on technical leadership with two engineers named amongst Australia’s innovation leaders.
GHD’s Jeremy Stone and Dr Konstantinos (Kostas) Athanasiadis are included in the list of Australia’s 60 Most Innovative Engineers announced by Engineers Australia.
Engineers Australia is the national forum for the advancement of engineering. Published for the first time, the prestigious list showcases the breadth of innovation across multiple disciplines and sectors.
Jeremy is acknowledged for leading GHD’s award-winning global Innovation program.
The program has both an internal and external focus. Not only does it build GHD’s capacity to crowdsource, develop and realise new ideas, it also assists other organisations with their innovation journeys.
Kostas is recognised for his work on StormDMT, a patented advanced technology of managing stormwater runoff generated in urban and industrial areas.
Developed as part of GHD’s Innovation program, the technology removes dissolved contaminants such as nutrients and heavy metals in a cost-effective way, and is suitable for both retrofitting and new developments.
Ashley Wright, GHD’s CEO, congratulates Jeremy and Kostas for demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering new solutions across its five global markets of water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation.
“Innovation is at the heart of who we are. Our sustained growth and success are built on our ability to deliver imaginative thinking and exceptional service to our clients, and help their businesses adapt to new challenges and opportunities,” he says.
