GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, environmental and advisory services companies, has been awarded a place on a new £119.5m YORConsult2 framework set up to serve public sector bodies and third sector organisations in Yorkshire.
The professional services consultancy has been appointed as one of the structural engineers for the North East and South West Yorkshire projects under the new framework.
The South Yorkshire framework, which is worth a total of £79m over four years, while the North East Yorkshire framework, totaling £40.5m is over the same time frame. The scope of projects under the new framework range from bridge work to flood prevention measures.

- University of Sheffield Professional Services Framework – GHD provides structural engineering services to help one the world’s top 100 universities deliver an ambitious master plan by 2025.
- Construction Impact Framework - As part of this framework, which facilitates UK public sector projects, GHD is now in the running to provide civil and structural design support for a £29m care home and residential development.
- National Health Service Shared Business Services – GHD has access to projects across a broad client base including local councils, housing associations, and prisons.
- Gatwick Airport Capital Investment framework - Together with partner Currie & Brown, GHD is working on two separate projects as part of the airport’s Terminal Program, supplying commercial and project management resources.
- Strategic Rail Technical Advisory (STAR) Framework – GHD continues work on multiple projects awarded through the UK Department of Transports STAR framework.
- Crown Commercial Services Framework – GHD is a formal partner of Turner Townsend contributing to the multi-billion CCS Framework through civil and structural engineering services for the provision of Project Management Full Design team Services. As part of the position on this Framework, GHD acquired Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.
- Network Rail – GHD has been awarded a place on Network Rail frameworks.
