Global professional services company GHD and civil and structural engineering company Flanagan Consulting Group (FCG) are coming together to expand their reach and breadth of services to clients in Northern Australia.
The combined business will operate under the GHD brand, with 28 FCG employees joining GHD teams in Cairns, Townsville and Darwin.
“We are responding to our clients’ need for consultants who understand the project complexities in Northern Australia. Strategically, both GHD and FCG are committed to maintaining and growing our significant presence close to clients in North Queensland and Northern Territory. Together, we are expanding the expertise, leadership and capacity to deliver projects in the region, enhancing and growing services such as urban development, roads, building structures, environmental planning and project management,” says Phil Duthie, GHD’s General Manager – Australia.
“GHD and FCG have partnered on numerous projects over a number of years. Through our association, we have proved that we share similar culture and values, and a commitment to client service excellence. Joining a larger employee-owned organisation will give the FCG team new opportunities for personal and professional growth as part of GHD’s connected network across Australia and globally,” says Pat Flanagan, FCG’s Chairman.
The merger will be effective on 1 July 2019.
