One of the world’s leading engineering, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, has boosted its UK presence by merging with GHA Livigunn, an award-winning, multidisciplinary, consulting engineering business serving the water, nuclear, power, waste, bioenergy and chemical sectors. GHA Livigunn also operates in the buildings sector, trading as BSCP.
The merger adds more than 160 people to the GHD team, as well as a network of regional offices in Cheadle, Frodsham, Sutton Weaver, Leeds and St Albans, creating a combined business of more than 250 people.
John Dutton, GHD’s UK Director, says, “This merger provides the critical mass to realise our strategic vision to expand our UK capabilities and geographical spread. GHA Livigunn’s capabilities complement our existing skills and resources in the UK, enabling the combined business to deliver a range of services across the five global markets of water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation.”
John adds, “GHD and GHA Livigunn share the values of safety, teamwork, respect and integrity. Our values will be the foundation for continued growth and an even stronger position in the market.”
Mark Ingram, Managing Director, GHA Livigunn, says, “We have always strived to provide wider opportunities for our team and enhanced offerings to our clients through growth into new markets, services, and geographies. This merger provides our clients access to the global expertise of engineers, architects and environmental scientists while making sure they still enjoy local service and personal attention.”
