GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, environmental, and construction services companies, has enhanced its California presence by merging with Omni-Means, Ltd. (Omni-Means), an award-winning, engineering business focused on the transportation market.
Omni-Means provides transportation planning, design, and construction support services to public and private sector clients. The merger increases GHD’s capacity to meet client and market demands for these services across the western United States. Omni-Means adds more than 60 people to the GHD team and expands GHD’s network of California offices.
Iver Skavdal, GHD’s Region Principal – West US, commented, “Omni-Means’ skills and experience complement our existing capabilities, enabling the combined business to deliver an integrated range of services to address our client’s transportation infrastructure needs, from planning, design, procurement and construction management, to operations, maintenance, and asset management.”
Iver added, “GHD and Omni-Means share client-focused business models and the values of safety, teamwork, respect, and integrity. These will serve as the foundation for continued growth. Our relationship as teaming partners has provided an excellent opportunity to build our culture together.”
Doug Ries, President of Omni-Means further commented, “We are very excited that this merger will not only provide wider opportunities for our team, but will also result in enhanced offerings to our clients through growth into new markets, services, and geographies. This merger provides our clients access to the global expertise of engineers and environmental scientists, while making sure they still enjoy local service and personal attention. It also provides our people with opportunities to leverage their skills over a wider variety of projects, and to participate in infrastructure development around the world.”
