GHD has recently been awarded a contract for $300M from the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as part of a joint venture with TranSystems.
The team will provide architect and engineering services over the next five years to rehabilitate, modernize, and develop new systems for new and existing infrastructure, facilities, and ground support systems.
Work may be performed across all eight of NASA’s Space Centers and Facilities in the US, as well as at launch or landing sites worldwide. These facilities include the agency’s distinguished Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Johnson Space Center in Houston, the White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, and the Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
“NASA’s missions inspire us to advance our understanding of space and how to develop its resources,” said Lisa Brandon, GHD’s Federal Sector Leader for North America. “NASA’s missions range from advancing climate science from its unique vantage point in space, to providing new technologies and facilities to support commercial space and satellite industry growth. GHD is proud to have been selected to support NASA on this important contract.”
