GHD celebrated the launch of their new office space in Lake Jackson, Texas with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception on November 14, 2018. Located in the heart of America’s petrochemical industry, the office serves the petrochemical sector, providing environmental, water/wastewater design, facility engineering, and regulatory compliance support.
Local dignitaries Lake Jackson Mayor Bob Sipple and members of the Lake Jackson Chamber of Commerce attended the ceremony. GHD’s North American leaders, Iver Skavdal, General Manager – USA, and Steve Quigley, General Manager – Canada, attended to greet local dignitaries, employees, and other guests to the new office.
“Our GHD employees are extremely proud of our new Texas office, a project that positively reflects the talent, innovation, and creativity of our team members,” said Iver Skavdal, “Of all of the places to grow our business, we chose Lake Jackson because of what the location has to offer our existing and future clients. We are proud to bring a global business such as GHD into the community as a local resource and we hope that our presence will make a positive impact in the community,” concluded Skavdal.
The GHD employees who brought this office to reality live in Brazoria County and have well over 100-years of combined experience serving petrochemical clients in this area. As part of GHD’s global network, the Brazosport community will benefit from the diverse knowledge of our people from around the world.
The new Lake Jackson office complements the existing Houston, Baton Rouge and Corpus Christi offices as they collectively provide mutual support in serving the petrochemical industry. In early 2019, GHD’s Houston office will relocate to a more modern facility in Houston’s Energy Corridor.
