AquaLAB combines GHD’s experience in the water sector with new digital capabilities and the expertise of clients and partners, to address complex water industry challenges.
In today’s era of rapid digital change, the water industry is being driven to adopt digital solutions, however, long-standing challenges including slow rates of innovation adoption and a risk-averse culture are impacting the industry’s ability to capitalise on the opportunities the digital era offers.
AquaLAB was created to address these challenges and provides a new way for clients and partners to engage with GHD, access the depth of skills and experience within the business, and experiment with new ideas that can become market-ready services and products.
GHD Digital’s Saskya Hunter, who has led the development of AquaLAB said, “Ultimately, our goal is to help the water industry transform its ways of working in the digital age. This can only be achieved through collaboration, co-creation and the adoption of digital solutions. If the solutions are attractive and viable, we will develop and refine to bring them to the market.”
While AquaLAB is focused on problems that have broad water industry relevance, a measure of success is that the solutions developed have tangible, direct benefits for water service providers, their customers, and the environment.
