One of the world’s leading engineering, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, is proud to report on its performance in achieving organisational goals for sustainability.
The 2014 GHD Sustainability Report has been released, reflecting GHD’s strategic purpose of working with clients to create lasting community benefit.
The report details key performance highlights in meeting the five key elements set out in the company’s Sustainability Policy. It also reinforces GHD’s alignment with the United Nations Global Compact’s 10 Principles.
As part of GHD’s merger with Conestoga-Rovers& Associates (CRA), the report also outlines CRA’s performance in achieving its sustainability commitments.
Ian Shepherd, CEO of GHD, comments, “At GHD, we define sustainability as improving human wellbeing without compromising the local or global environment over the long term.
“In an organisational context, this means integrating social, economic and environmental issues into core business processes to achieve environmentally and socially responsible operations.”
GHD and CRA are also assisting their clients to be more sustainable. The report provides a snapshot of projects undertaken on behalf of clients that have contributed positively to sustainability.
