Employee-owned professional services company GHD has been ranked #29 in the Top 150 Global Design Firms survey, up from #33 in 2017.
Produced by the Engineering News-Record (ENR), the highly regarded listings are based on annual revenue and are divided into specific market categories.
“Inspired by our 90 years of success, GHD continues to achieve strong results across our global operations,” Ashley Wright, CEO, says.
“Our clients’ needs are constantly evolving and, in response, we are transforming our services to help prepare their organisations and communities for the future. Being fully employee-owned means our people have a personal stake in building a high-performance culture and executing a long-term strategy for the business.”
In an industry that serves clients across borders and seeks talent from around the world, GHD is focused on building a global brand with a diversified geographic presence.
GHD came in at #19 in the Top 225 International Design Firms list, which is based only on revenue generated outside each firm’s ‘home country’.
Looking at specific industry sectors, GHD has been ranked:
- #7 (up from #8) in water
- #7 (up from #9) in sewer/waste
- #5 (unchanged) in hazardous waste
- #8 (up from #9) in international firms operating in the United States
- #8 in international firms operating in Canada
Earlier this year, GHD was recognised as a global leader in engineering, receiving the prestigious Excellence in Water award from the UK’s New Civil Engineer (NCE) magazine.
GHD was also included in the annual NCE100 list of top engineering companies that are driving the industry forward, increasing productivity, driving cultural change, and creating benefits for communities globally.
