One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, has played key roles in the construction of a new concrete Kropps Bridge in Queensland, Australia, replacing a flood-damaged timber structure.
Kropps Bridge is one of 16 bridges that GHD has helped deliver for Somerset Regional Council as part of Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements. The new structures provide essential transport connections for local residents and businesses.
GHD carried out a variety of roles, including engineering design, contract administration and superintendent’s representative.
Our project team comprised people from our offices in Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, including Paul Clark (Project Director), Paul Henderson (Job Manager), Mark Wright (Bridge Design Engineer) and Michael Matthey (Principal Technical Officer) and David Crump (Structural Engineer).
