GHD welcomes RoadLab to strengthen transport infrastructure in New Zealand
GHD has welcomed RoadLab, an Aotearoa New Zealand-based transport consultancy, into its business, strengthening GHD’s transport capability and further deepening its local presence across Aotearoa. The move brings together RoadLab’s specialist capability in bridges and road design with GHD’s broader multidisciplinary expertise. Building on established ways of working, this brings greater depth, flexibility and scale to support transport infrastructure across Aotearoa, the Pacific islands and wider Asia-Pacific region.
Better journeys, together
RoadLab has built a reputation for delivering practical, high–quality and innovative transport solutions and has key roles in significant transport projects nationwide including Penlink, O Mahurangi, post-Cyclone Gabrielle bridge rebuilds in Tairāwhiti and Auckland, Second Ashburton Bridge, SH3 Awakino Tunnel Bypass and Te Ahu a Turanga - Manawatū Tararua Highway. The Auckland-based team of ten brings technical experience in bridges and road design, alongside a collaborative, hands-on delivery approach that aligns closely with GHD’s values and way of working.
“Together with RoadLab, we aim to be Aotearoa’s leading transport team and a partner of choice for our clients. Bringing together their specialty skills with our scale and global resources makes for a powerful combination,” shares Siobhan Hartwell, GHD’s Regional General Manager – NZ Pacific.
Continuity for clients remains a priority. RoadLab’s existing relationships will continue, with clients working with the same people and project teams they know and trust – now supported by GHD’s wider network of technical specialists across New Zealand and internationally.
“With a decade of trusted delivery behind us as road and bridge design specialists, joining GHD is a natural next step for our highly regarded team,” RoadLab’s Meagan Stewart reveals. “By combining RoadLab’s expertise with GHD’s multidisciplinary capabilities, we’re better positioned to support our clients and tackle increasingly complex, large-scale transport projects.”
