Sioban Hartwell has accepted the role of GHD's Regional General Manager - New Zealand and the Pacific
A past president of Water New Zealand, and Fellow of Engineering New Zealand, Sioban has witnessed huge cultural changes in the industry over the past 30 years from Health and Safety to gender equality.
She begins the role with a strengthened commitment to achieving GHD's roadmap towards global carbon neutrality by 2025 and growing our future energy capability, "The increased investment in infrastructure in New Zealand is an opportunity for us to change how we deliver on what matters to our clients, our communities and our environment."
Sioban maintains a strong industry profile in the water and mining industries, most recently supporting Ministry for Environment and the Department of Internal Affairs with a series of wastewater studies relating to Water Reform.
Having supported projects in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, Sioban brings a critical lens to the industry’s toughest challenges in water, energy and urbanisation.
