Shareholders of global professional services company GHD confirmed the election of directors Denise Anderson and Iver Skavdal (USA); Sheryl Cornelius (New Zealand) and re-elected Australian non-executive director Peter Wasow at the Annual General Meeting in Brisbane, Australia, this week.
Significantly, women now comprise more than 40 percent of the Board.
Chairman Rob Knott, who was also re-elected, said the company has set a clear standard for cultural, professional and gender diversity.
“It is pleasing to see our commitment to lead by example and build a team that has the diverse skills and capacity to create enduring value in a global people-oriented business,” Rob said.
Employee-owned GHD reported a 7 percent increase in earnings on revenues of AUD1.7 billion in 2017. Approximately 60 percent of its revenues are generated outside Australia. GHD continues to grow as it helps clients respond to the global demands for water, energy and urbanisation.
Retiring director Mike Muntisov was also thanked for his contribution over a career spanning 34 years at GHD.
