GHD Digital is the proud recipient of the 2022 Gold Hermes Creative Awards for two of their client websites, the City of Lincoln and Orangeville Tourism, and one honourable mention for the City of Medicine Hat.

These awards are presented by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) and recognise the work of creators who tend to public service and charitable ventures using both traditional and digital platforms.

The Hermes Creative Awards are highly competitive among a broad range of participants, including individual creators, media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies.

Recipients are individuals or companies that demonstrate superior skills in creativity, design, and technology. GHD Digital helps government clients transform using digital technologies, enabling them to provider faster, more efficient, and user-friendly interfaces to improve service to their constituents.

“Increasing citizen engagement is top of mind for many, if not most, communities right now,” said Ali Carden, Global Practice Director, Products and Platforms, GHD Digital. “As the last two years have shown, organisations, residents, and local businesses are eager to access city services online, while also being informed of what is happening across the city.”

Citizens want the ability to engage with services on their terms to satisfy their specific needs and lifestyles, resulting in the quick shift to providing citizens direct access to services online. This provides opportunities for governments and municipalities to transform other parts of their organisations through better digital solutions and tools.

“Recent data reveals that a digital-first mindset has become crucial for any public sector organisation as citizens are more eager and willing to engage with their municipality online than ever before. This trend is only expected to increase as physical and digital worlds continue to converge in the post-pandemic landscape. Receiving these awards positions GHD Digital to continue to enable our public sector clients to become more resilient, efficient and fit for the future communities they serve,” said Kumar Parakala, President, GHD Digital.
